This is a gentle meditation that leads from breath awareness to a personal doorway into deep rest, where guilt fades and permission to pause returns. The journey ends with a soft re-entry and a question that helps you carry calm back into your day.

Welcome And Intention
SPEAKER_00Hello, and welcome to Breathe and Be. I'm Mirianne, and I'm so glad you're here. This space is for slowing down, reconnecting with yourself, and remembering that rest is not something you have to earn, it's something you deserve. Today's meditation invites you to imagine walking along a path that leads to a door, and behind that door is everything you need to rest, to restore, and to simply be. Go ahead and take a slow, easy breath in, pause, and release it softly. Another slow inhale. Pause and exhale, letting the weight of the day begin to slip away. Feel your breath finding its own rhythm. Steady and kind. There's nothing to do right now. Nothing to figure out. Just breathe and be here. Now begin to imagine yourself standing on a path. You might be outdoors in a quiet forest, the ground soft beneath your feet, the air cool and fresh with the scent of pine and moss. Or perhaps you're on a city sidewalk, people and traffic in the distance, the hum of life slowly fading as you step away from it all. Maybe you're in a long hallway, the kind that echoes with the sounds of other lives. Doors closing, fingers typing, footsteps passing. But you're moving toward stillness. Whatever this path looks like for you, it's leading you toward peace. Each step takes you further from the noise, from the tension, from the endless reaching outward. As you walk, notice how the air begins to change. It grows softer, calmer. There's a quiet invitation in it, a promise of rest. And ahead of you, you see a door, your door, the one that leads to your space of deep rest. Take in how it looks, the color, the shape, the material it's made of. It might be painted in a soothing hue, or perhaps it's worn and wooden, full of character. Maybe it's the glass door one that slides open and closed. You can feel that this door has been waiting for you. Place your hand on it, noticing its texture. Smooth, cool, or maybe gently weathered. When you're ready, turn the handle and open the door. A gentle wave of air moves toward you. Warm or cool, depending on what you need the most right now. There's a scent that greets you, maybe fresh baked bread, lavender and soft linens, or a hint of rain and clean earth. Step inside. The space welcomes you instantly, safe, calm, and perfectly yours. Notice the light. Maybe it's golden and warm like candlelight, or bright and open like the morning sun. To one side, a big inviting shelf of books waits for you. Every title seems to call your name, stories that comfort you, poems that quiet your mind, words that bring you home. There's a soft place to sit, a chair that fits you perfectly, or a couch piled with blankets, or maybe a window seat overlooking a view that brings you peace. Across the room a movie screen glows softly. Whatever film your heart wants to see is there, waiting to play. No arguing, no compromising, just your choice, your comfort. Nearby there's a table filled with your favorite foods, warm, fragrant, and ready, maybe a comforting soup, or something baked and sweet, or a fresh plate of fruit, and next to it the perfect drink, tea, coffee, cocoa, or something cool and refreshing, ice water, tea or soda. Everything about this space whispers you can rest now. You don't have to be anyone's helper or caretaker here. You don't have to earn your pause. There's no guilt in your stillness, only relief, only peace. Maybe you walk around now, running your fingertips along the familiar textures, a soft rug, the spine of a book, the smoothness of a cup in your hands. Maybe you curl up and just breathe. Your shoulders release, your jaw softens, the tiny muscles behind your eyes finally relax. If thoughts try to tug you back to the outside world, just whisper to yourself, not now. Right now, I am allowed to rest. Let yourself drift in this room, doing whatever feels right, reading, daydreaming, nibbling, or simply relaxing. Let time lose its edges. The longer you stay, the more your body remembers what it feels like to be completely at ease. Take a slow deep breath in, pause and let it go with a long, gentle exhale. When you're ready, begin to look around one last time. Notice the peace that fills the space, how it feels to be cared for by your own imagination. This calm doesn't stay behind when you leave. Take one more deep breath in. Pause and release it slowly, carrying this sense of rest back with you. Begin to bring gentle motion back into your body. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Notice what supports you beneath you. Listen to the soft sounds around you. Take a quiet moment to reflect. What does rest mean to you today? Maybe it's peace. Maybe it's permission. Maybe it's the remembering that you matter too. Whenever you need to recharge, you can always return to this door and know that rest is always waiting for you. Thank you for joining me for this meditation. Until next time, breathe, be, and take good care.
